Family History Made Real
I love history. I love learning about the people, the events, the circumstances and everything in between - that shaped us into the people we are today. I believe our families shape us too. I think that if we understand more about the people and the past that have brought us to where we are today, we understand ourselves a bit better too.
I have had the great fortune to live, study, explore and work in many parts of this wide and beautiful world. I have worked in charitable, corporate, non-profit and academic sectors. I have a wonderful (and large!) extended family. I’ve spent my years exploring, writing, organizing, learning, challenging, planning, teaching, listening, and often colouring just a little outside the lines.
For me, I’ve found that life is at its most vibrant and meaningful when I have a wider perspective. I have found that life - real life - provides the most insights when I have a more nuanced, contextualized and inclusive view of all it has to offer.
This is the viewpoint from which I see life, and which I bring to family history work. I look forward to hearing your family stories, and working with you to create something real and meaningful you can keep and share over your lifetimes.
